December update

It has become clear that the Dunvint EP will not be done this year. Instead of a victory lap it seems that the road gets longer the more we work on it. But that’s because we have high standards and want this to be great! It’s also because we all have full time jobs and don’t get to work on it nearly as much as we would like.

I invited Tom Wade to contribute to the project. It’s good to have another personality in the mix. A couple of weeks ago Benji and Tom came over during the weekend and we did a lot more sampling. I haven’t gotten around to using the noises yet, but I’m excited about some of the things that were tapped, smacked, rubbed, scraped, and thumped (does this sound sinful yet? You need to get into the head of a foley artist!).

I’m itching to put together some live performances. I’d like to arrange a version of Snowy Morning — even more stripped down to banjo, light percussion, and a couple of vocals.
